Better late than never. Very nice! Not sure about that saddle position, but only you can figure that out. And once again, traditional just looks so right. Nicely done.

No need to quote above.

Thanks Cal, what's wrong with the saddle position is it tilting up or not level ?

The Speedneedle always looks slightly off unless it's set with nose and tail at the same level (which it might well be) and is pictured dead-level! Great saddle though.

Perhaps there's nothing wrong with it if it works for you. I've never tried one but it just looks like you'd be sliding forward on it, but maybe not? Anyway, if it works for you then then that's what matters.

nismosr: perfect build. Modern and classic. Would love to see a red seatpost binder :)

Look closely at the angle of the bike in the shot...

Saddle looks fine. Great build!

Cal,
looks can be deceiving if you look really closely the nose is a bit up, this is how I set it upon my other 2 bikes. you are probably focusing the back part of the saddle, the speedneedle is not really flat like say a Selle Italia SLR. It's my favorite saddle I have them on my R5 and S5.

Thanks all ..

Just perfect.

Why do you not choose Campagnolo Super Record crankset?

Thanks!

Ah...always had Super Record in the past but really liked the Rotor Flow Time Trial cranks once I had them in my hands. Improved Q, ceramic bottom bracket with the 53-38 Q Rings and 11-25 Ti cluster. Really cranks once you get it up to speed ...

It's all ok with me as they will most likely drop it. That and the fact that this was the first Mapei Sloping built in the world and without the extra drilling for electronic shifting.
