Edited to add bike specs:

Eddy Merckx EMX-525 frame & fork, 60cm
Shimano Dura-Ace 9070 groupset (52/36 crankset and 12-28 cassette)
Zipp 303 Firecrest tubular wheels with Vittoria Pave CG tires*
Deda 35 alloy bars with Fizik bar tape & Deda 35 stem
Dura-Ace 7900 pedals (off my deceased Trek)
Fizik Antares VS test saddle (For now. Might switch back to the Fizik Arione that came with the bike)

Miscellaneous: Garmin Edge 500 with stock Garmin stem mount, Bontrager ANT+ Speed/Cadence sensor, Arundel Sideloader bottle cages.

*The Zipps are for racing and will be swapped out for HED Belgium C2 aluminum wheels with a Powertap G3 hub on the rear and Chris King R45 on the front. I'm just waiting on a cassette for the HEDs to arrive.

Oh that's a Fizik Antares test saddle. The bike came with an Arione but I thought I'd try an Antares to see if it's a little more comfortable. If I like it I'll order one in the proper colour to match the bike.

I've gotten interested in those 525s lately. Especially because of the (supposedly) extreme stiffness. How does it ride? Any previous bikes you can compare it to?

Whenever I had a chance to look at the EMX-525 I thought of Cipollini's bikes... The Vittoria Pavé with green gum sides are complementing the bikes nicely, but I would change the Zipp decals for the white ones - that would go nicely with the frame.

It is quite stiff, much stiffer than the Trek 5200 that it replaced. Even when I'm out of the saddle climbing I don't notice any flex in the frame. It feels like every pedal stroke goes straight to the ground.

It's lighter than the Trek 5200, although not the lightest frame on the market by any means. The S-Works Tarmac that I was also considering is lighter.

File comment: When I first got the bike the Zipp 303s hadn't arrived yet, so the guy at the shop loaned me some Dura-Ace C24 clinchers.
