Racing weight as a senior 2 was 136lbs
Weight now = 142lbs after starvation diet which brought me down from 154lbs two months ago. Was 164lbs a year ago.
The diet is not working out super well as there has been muscle loss as well as fat loss. But my theory is that getting down to an appropriate racing weight is the first thing to do. Once there the right caloric intake/training balance will keep me at the same weight and build back the muscles I need.

I hate this threads, I always end up feeling like a sumo wrestler.
Im 1.74 and I weigh 73 kilos, the leanest Ive been I was 71 kilos but I looke like I was coming out from starvation. I guess this is why I get dropped on long climbs by the 50 kilo climbers but they dont seem to hang around when the road is not as hilly ja

I'd like to get down to 80kgs as I would consider this "race weight"; like a few posts above I am built more like a rugby player. I'm down from 107.9kgs of "pud" in Nov 2012
unreal achievment. How did you do it?

1.74m
75 kilos
Last field test I pushed 4.2 watts kilo when I was 78 kilos, so Im pretty confident I can get to 5w/kilo by the end of the year.

Cheers Slick1,
I didn't see this post earlier but here is a belated response anyways. In November 2012 I decided I’d had enough of not seeing my family due to the long stressful hours at work, and being unhappy as a result, I was lucky enough to be in a position where I didn’t “need” to work so I up and quit my job. This was the start of the turn around, I stopped eating shit as I was home more rather than grabbing convenience foods, In addition in the time of I started riding my mountain bike again.
In April of 2013 I entered a 6hr race, which formed part of a state series – I nearly died in the race but reignited my passion for racing, at the end of April I got a road bike to train on… The rest is history.
Along the way I have changed my diet quite dramatically, I’ve cut out things like soft drink, sweets etc… I eat a fairly well diverse diet that is neither good, nor bad and I try to get as much riding in as possible. For the last few months I’ve only been getting in 8hrs a week due to the birth of our little on so I need to be a bit more careful of what I eat as well.
The most improtant thing though is I am happy now; I work much less, I spend much more time with my family
Update.
