Just ran these...

"Blown" away by the venting / cooling.

High sole stiffness, easy 3-strap closure and ROOOMY for the size...

They're also light (but I'm sitting here realizing I didn't weigh em.)

I noticed the article did not have weights and thought, oh Charles is gonna get an earful when he posts this on WW.
Any chance you can get the weight?
'Foot blow job' - can this be considered a fetish shoe then?

I feel like an ass for not having the weight...

456 for the pair (42.5). And the sole is VERY stiff for this weight...

They are Lake. They should last half a season and come apart when you are the furthest point from home on your longest ride of the year.

I just swapped the new 402 and these for 401's that lasted a couple years...

That said, I have a couple other shoes that I wear as well, but these are the 4th and 5th pairs of lakes with the only problem being a wire from BOA that they fixed.

I agree, but I'm guessing it's Charles' method of image processing. He tends to run images through an action set (guessing) or muck with them a bit to create 'hdr' like results, which can often mire original colours.

Or it could be that Arizona heat has messed with his camera's lens and sensors.

The original color is a crisp white.

It is crisp white... And for the life of me I can't figure out why the color looks like that... It was the typical blazing sun that I always shoot it and white is normally really hard to shoot because the details are so whitey-white that the glare kills the details...

It looks like the camera lens had a CPL filter permanently attached to it ?

I wanted to love Lake shoes. They fit very nicely. But after the second pair literally came apart at the seams and lake customer service refused to even respond to my inquiries I have determined to never buy Lake again, never recommend them, and discourage everyone I know from spending their money on Lake products. Terrible company.

Quick sizing question, I'm a perfect 44.5 Sidi which is a 44 sole w/ a bit bigger upper. 44 just doens't work for me in Sidi. Knowing Lake are a bit more generous in volume, would a 44 be the call then?

The length is pretty accurate to Sidi, there's just a bit more volume, but I think that translates into a pinch more toe box (the part that wraps up round your toes) as well... I would almost call that a toss up but I bet these are a larger last on the even numbered sole like Sidi, but with more volume for sure than a Sidi Ergo 3 or Wire for the same size.
