My picks for top riders in LBL: 1. Gilbert, 2. Kwiatowski, 3. Valverde, 4. Martin, 5. Gerrins, 6. Iglinski, 7. Cunego

Winner of first LBL was riding 11.2 kg bike according to cyclingnews. Not bad!

Valverde for LBL. I think Martin needs to go a bit earlier and try and take some of the sting out of Valverde if he wants to beat him this time.

Cavendish wins first stage of Tour of Turkey.
Oddly, Greipel was leading the Lotto train.

If the Garmin Vectorizer was on Speedplay, Dan Martin may well have won Liege-Bastogne-Liege. Click!

It seems to me that his rear wheel slipped. Both his feet were in the pedals when he was on the way down.

Here's the moment of impact. I don't see his lean as being greater than Caruso's at this point considering the different points in the corner, except Caruso apexed the corner pedal-up.

Could it really have been the fault of the garmin vector pedal??

Kwiatkowski 3rd again. boy he's consistent. i like how smart he rides - always at the front , despite having almost no help from his team. and now he's moved up to 5th in the UCI World Tour ranks

Martin was pedal-down right at the apex of the turn and it looks very much like he caught his pedal, unweighting the wheell and causing the slip/crash.
Should have been on Speedplay ! :smartass:

(I am kidding; I don't ride speedplay any more; but I will have to admit that you never catch pedals with them!)

as Rick stated above, from the video it looks like he caught his pedal. plus, no one else fell on that corner but Martin
