Now you have to or I have to? These planet X brakes are nice, but can be a headache at times.

How so? I've been pretty satisfied with my Planet X brakes.

Once they are set in place they are great. But getting them in place can take some time to dial in and the cable lock can be pretty destructive on cables. Otherwise, I have enjoyed mine.

Nah, my planetx calipers do just fine and I would be adding a fair amount of weight by going with DA calipers

sorry it was a joke, he and I live in the same area and brakes do help on some of the cat 2 descends with a stop sign at the bottom for traffic.

I sure liked my planet x brakes as well. I took them off a bike I ended up selling and have not used them on a new build yet.

The weather has been AMAZING this week. Too bad I have been in bed with Tonsillitis since Monday! Was so freaking pissed that I didn't get to take advantage. Feeling 90% today and the sky is blue. I am fighting myself from clipping in. I want to ride so bad, but this week was so incredibly bad, that I cannot allow myself to push myself to early and get sick all over again. Cycling is not what pays my bills, so I will just have to push my personal desires aside for another day till I am for sure healthy again. Hope you got out to do some riding!

Get well, the road will be there in a few weeks. I am not in the area anyway, on vacation where the weather is always nice... but no bike ;(. My cycling group has sent out ride emails for today and sunday, really missing it. I guess that is why we all are bike nuts, I am on vacation and want to ride... you are sick and want to ride.

Went on a great ride yesterday morning at sunrise. Got to a hill top and couple guys needed to shed some layers, so we took some pictures of the scenery. Bike feels fantastic! wasn't sure if the shorter reach of the bars would be too much or not, but it feels much better. Shifting was on point. Took the KCNC pulleys out before ride and put my DA back in. KCNC were just fine, but louder than I prefer.

LOVE how this one turned out!
