I know there is the Tune in QR, standard and Skyline model.
Also Carbon Ti with the bolt on and KCNC coming soon.

Any others?

Ideally I would like one like the Carbon Ti that is bolt on, as I always have a 5mm when riding anyway.
But... for a bit of alloy I am not paying the £75 asking price for it!

FRM does one. Bolt on with allen key.

Nice to have another option, but a similar price.
Surely these can be cheaper?! It is so simple.

I bought front a rear FRM from http://www.componentsbike.it They also have Carbon Ti
Carbon Ti and Tune also available from http://www.bike24.net or http://www.r2-bike.com

All are happy shipping to Australia so UK shouldn't be an issue. I certainly didn't pay 75pounds!

Hi there,

What feedback can you give from the rear FRM one?

I was keen on buying the tune dc 15 and maybe the carbon ti one for the rear, but now was thinking of both from Carbon ti or FRM.

Cheers

FRM front and rear weighed as claimed and work faultlessly.

Thinking exactly the same myself.

The Carbon Ti one looks perfect, but it's £80 from R2, and Bike 24 don't do them... Can't believe none of the Taiwanese catalogue brands have cottoned onto these yet!

Look into componentsbike.it , they seem to have both in stock (FRM and carbon ti)

I think I'm going to Carbon ti 15 and x12 instead of FRM.

It's not finding companies with stock that's the issue, it's that they're hideously overpriced!

€75 for a piece of alu like that is mental - how is no one turning these out for €30 yet, whilst we've got hundreds of companies doing cheap QR skewers?

Agreed it is crazy money! Shame the KCNC QR version is no cheaper. Maybe a KCNC bolt on version is the only hope for a low cost solution?

Extralite Black Lock looks nice and seems the lightest for no extra pennies over the others suggested.Any reason not to (besides the silly price of all options). I guess it depends on the availability of non-DT Swiss versions despite extralite claiming they make one for most forks????

That is what I mentioned one post above ;)

XCRacer have the KCNC for Fox forks for £60 and 53g at the moment. A touch cheaper than some of the other options. I like the look of the bolt on versions though...

We need Mt Zoom to start doing them, as their kit's always spot on!

A bit of a shame Superstar haven't made something to suit.

edit: Or even Hadley?

The 9mm front or rear 10/12mm thru bolts that both sell aren't the lightest compared with some of the XC models mentioned here, but they're good value for money.
