A new seat post from AX Lightness! The Deadalus UNI. It has been finished with a layer of ad carbon and has a higher max user weight then the standard deadalus. Therefore it is a bit heavier as well.

With the extra beef in the new seat post, is it now approved for cylocross use, or does cyclocross still require massive metal parts?

You should use massive metal parts, not elements made from fibre materials for your sport.

I honestly can't believe a company that makes weight weenie top end products is recommending me to use "massive metal parts" for "my sport"...

As I wrote then, has i. A. Jutta Bauer been watching old Saturday Night Live Coneheads epiosdes? "We invite you to consume mass quantities of metal for the seat post on your cyclocross bike - from a small town in France."
