Yes, but it didn't look like Kwiatkowski had wanted to ride in front very much. If Sagan let him to front and he wouldn't have pushed it, the chasing group may have got them. The gap was very small.

Did you see how K bridged up to Sagan? He was riding like a Boss that day. Sagan wasn't going to win unless K flatted or crashed. Sagan was lucky Valverde didn't close the gap at the end.

Sagan could actually benefit from being caught. Again, he'd be the best sprinter of that bunch so the risks would be more manageable. But maybe he didn't know if there was a sprinter in the chasing group.

Yes, sure. Anyway, it was great show. It is nice to see 22km breakaway which is not caught.

every mention of Garmin now makes me think of their terrible glasses. i assume POC are going for the 'any publicity is good publicity' angle...

The glasses are much less heinous than the TT helmet and honestly, not that bad in person. I guess I'm also used to So Cal bros wearing huge glasses like that for years so this isn't much of a change.

It would be awesome to see what Geraint Thomas could do on a different team where he was given more of a leadership/protected rider role instead of being an equal option with EBH and Stannard.
Don't take me too seriously. The only person that doesn't hate Froome.

I don't mind the POC road lids of lenses but I had a hard time keeping serious watching their TTT this morning with that mushroom cap... and this coming from someone who wears an Air Attack.

Cavendish, quoted on CyclingNews:

"And as always happens, my chain came off. It's a problem with SRAM, which we've talked about many times. So my chain came off, my foot came out and Tony was behind me at 50km/h. He has to come up to not go over my back wheel."
