Holy smokes, those are some beasts in that race! Smart move, wpccrunner to go solo. Clearly there wasn't any elevation change in that race to have those sides of beef charging in to the finish. That race gives a new meaning to the cowbells the fans are using. :P

Yes the crit racing down here in Miami is quite nuts. A lot of jacked up guys on too much "protein" all wanting to win the sprint.

Here's a link to the Garmin stats. Notice the total ascent of 89 ft over 21 miles. I broke away with about 3k to go and apparently no one noticed till it was too late. I looked back about 600m after attacking and was already 200m ahead with 2km to go, so I had a nice easy stroll the last 400m :D

yeah imperial and metric sorry about that... Coming from a track background shorter distances make more sense to me in metric but longer in miles. And engineering school having me switch back and forth so often doesn't help either.
21 miles=34 km
89ft=27m

First race of 2014 in Tihany, leading the 2nd group. (on the LOOK on the left) Almost got back to the front group, but no cake, UCI Continental team Utensilnord was riding too.

What are the white things people have around their cables? Is that a timing chip or something?

Not sure if I ever posted this one up. Etape du Tour last year (Annecy-Semnoz) going up the first climb w/ nice light from the sunrise. Chasing to get back onto the lead group after fighting through the fodder. Managed to catch them on the descent and finish 52nd in the end. Always amusing that I'm so much chunkier than the guys around me (I'm first in the line there)

Nathan, homing in on a win there, or just Voecklering ?

Ultyguy, 49th in an etape is pretty damn fast !!

Couple of pics of me taking the win in a handicap race today.

9:30 back and won by about 5 seconds.

Happy :)
