2/28 update: just completed the conversion from SR mechanical to EPS V2. Straightforward install and the battery pack fits like a glove on the RCA seat tube. With regards to the charging port, originally intended to use the mechanical FD hole but it was too small and had an extra carbon channel underneath which would have obstructed the path. You can probably file it down and enlarge the hole a bit if you really want to install the charging port. Since the RCA has plenty of room in the BB area (and the BB itself is fully enclosed and isolated), I opted to leave the charging port in there. The RCA uses a rubber plug/drain cap on the bottom of the BB shell which snaps on and off making access to the unmounted charging port easy and convenient.

In terms of weight penalty, the bike gained 86 grams -- which is less than what I had originally expected. New weight is 11.17 lbs (from 10.98 with the mechanical setup). Extremely pleased with the way it shifts on the stand -- the auto FD trim, on the fly FR/RD adjustments, >1000 miles between battery charges (beats the Tesla!), are awesome features. Haven't had a chance to take her out for a test ride so hopefully no issues pop up.

The only thing I miss is the nice matte finish of the Campy 80th anniversary components that were replaced (shifters and FD/RD).

Has anyone successfully installed a Campagnolo EPS V2 battery unit internally along the seat tube of a Cervelo RCA? Based on what I've read, the diameter of the V2 battery pack is about 27mm -- logically, since the RCA takes a 27.2mm seatpost, the battery pack should fit albeit tightly. However, given that the unit is designed for mounting behind the riveted water bottle holes, the back side of the rivets could take up some space, making the effective internal diameter narrower.

Curious to know if anyone has succesfully installed one. Thanks in advance.

Nope, never installed one, but there are cut outs [grooves] in the power unit for the water bottle nut bosses. That dimension is 20.4mm. You should be ok.

There's nothing spec'd on the 4 Campy install variation pdfs ... but this recent article says 26.6mm minimum inside seat tube diameter

It can also be mounted in the down tube under the first bottle cage if it won't fit in the seat tube

Yep, that's another option provided I'm able to insert the battery pack through the steerer tube. Thx.

Part way down is an image that shows the dimensions. Good luck with the steering tube option, I doubt if many frames would allow this.
