Hi!

After few years of riding on Simplons i decided to try something new. The choice fell on Giant TCR SL mainly due to compact geomtery and simple design oriented on racing. After several rides i think the choice was right bike is very nimble and corners very confident(much more than Simplon Pavo). Headtube with 1 1/2" and 1 1/4" bearings is really nice feature and increased stifness can be felt very easily. Despite ISP whole bike is quite harsh and doesn't absorb much from the road but instead of this feels very stiff and accelerates very very wilingly. I'm really happy with this bike.

Giant TCR Advanced SL "M" size
Mavic CCU and Continental Sprinter tubs
Ultegra 6870 with Sram 1190 cassette
SRM with Rotor 3D+ cranks
Speedplay pedals
Zipp 80 bars
Fizik Arione 00

Total weight: don't know yet

That's interesting because I have the same bike and I can't believe how smooth and comfortable it rides :noidea:
Absolutely blows away the BMC I had before it.

That looks stunning, generally not a huge fan of Giant's but really like that one. Well wear

Thanks!

Comfort not only depends on frame and it's largely subjective feeling, wheels and tires can change this feature to a large degree. Giant has nothing except tubes with square profiles and isp is aero shape that generally doesn't help in smoothing road bumps. I think that compact construction with smaller triangles(than most frame) and short wheel base has also influence on absorbing uneven roads.

Wow. I'll be honest and say one thing TCRs are not, on the whole, is attractive.
That though, is one of the best looking bikes I've ever seen.

Well I carried over my wheels and tires from my BMC, so that eliminates that variable. The difference is huge, particularly in terms of high frequency vibration.
There is quite a bit more to how a frame is tuned than the shape of the tubes.

I love mine, and am just about to head out for a ride. :)
I don't find mine harsh at all. Very racy, but not harsh.
