A black bike is stiffer than a white bike.

That's racist.

First race on mine tonight, hums along quite nicely. Was on a staying seated plan (see other post about worn chainrings...) so plenty of stiffness for that purpose. eeBrakes feel very nice. Aeroness and loss of a kilo (of bike weight) certainly helped make up for current lack of fitness, though could not make up for getting boxed when the crucial split formed in the cross winds.

Overall I'm really happy with the first proper ride (had only done a couple of shakedowns), feels smooth and fast and looks like it is sucking light in like a black hole.

Superdave,

Can you please tell me an ETA on the Felt AR FRD frame sets in Australia, I keep going into the bike shop and he rings the supplier and is told 2 weeks, every time is 2 weeks. I can wait no problems there, but at this rate the new model will be out and my AR will still not have arrived :-)

Thanks.

That sounds about right for Europe. Sorry I've no information on Australia, but latest estimate has the FRD and AR1 arriving in Europe first week in April.

Do you guys not realize that Dave does not work in customer support, shipping, or sales? Ask your dealer, its not his job to be running queries around like this.

But Dave is a hell of a guy, the best in the biking business, probably to his detriment and he will answer :-)

Was told I couldn't get an AR1 this year anymore.
There is also no possibility to take a test ride in Belgium and apparently customer service here isn't great.
That explains why there's hardly any Felts around here.
It's a shame because I was seriously considering purchasing this frame.
