Redwood Retreat/Mt Madonna Rd off of Hecker Pass/CA-152. Those photos are from the Gilroy side, which is actually unpaved in the upper half. The Watsonville side is just as shaded but paved all the way, albeit in quite bad shape, and lots of blind corners. I actually prefer going down Hecker Pass, which is pretty gentle compared to Mt Madonna and a lot better maintained. Both sides meet at the top on the most southern part of Summit Rd, which goes along the entire Santa Cruz mountain crest.

Not a mythic cycling location round where I live but it looked nice today in the sunshine.
Near South Stoke in South Oxfordshire.


The road in the distance, Catsbrain Hill, is part of a local road racing loop.

Treated my Domane 6.9 to some classics style riding over the last weekend before a dose of man flu made the quads heavy. Love it, a great bike.

Pescadero State Beach, California. I'm glad I didn't take the weather for granted, as it was 24C/75F here today.
