That ought to keep people from viewing the thread.

Now, my most recent tool - a 2013 Raleigh Militis 3 frameset with some kit I had laying around. The graphics were too loud so I sanded off most of the logos and (terribly applied) pinstriping. With the mix of raw carbon and black already on the bike it was very easy to blend and I think it looks fantastic up close. How it should have come factory, in my opinion.

Great looking bike  What stages crank arm are you running? Rival GXP? I thought those frames were BB30.

Thanks, everyone!

plpete - you are correct in presuming Rival GXP for the Stages. The frame is BB30 and I'm using a Wheels MFG adapter for the 24mm spindle. My rain bike is a GXP so being able to swap the PM between bikes trumped the weight savings and "cool factor" of the BB30 crank.

That said, I would really like to have a Hollowgram Stages on this... assuming someone else foots the bill :)

That's the same exact situation I will be finding myself in very soon. I got a great deal on the Stages PM through my team. My race bike has a GXP BB while my nicer BMC is BB30. I plan to be able to swap the crank whenever I'd like and the setup you have is exactly what I was considering. How do you find the Wheels MFG adapter? Any creaking from the crank? Can the adapter be easily removed in order to put the BB30 crank back in?

Sounds like a very similar situation indeed - I sold my Quarq when I got a great team deal for the Stages!
I've been extremely pleased with the setup, having used it on two bikes now and another teammate did the same thing. The delrin adaptors don't make so much as a peep and removing them is as easy as pulling the crank. No need to force anything in or out.

This is great news! Thanks a lot for the info. This will be my first power meter so I'm quite excited to be able to better quantify my efforts and riding and hopefully get stronger!

Looks great. Have you been putting in any miles since painting the chainring? I've tried to do the same with mine, but i actually isn't too satisfied with how the paint is holding up. Just thinking what kind of paint you used?

plpete - I'm pretty new to power as well. It's a very exciting progression and congrats for making the jump!

CaptainP - I've got 1500+ miles on the rings with no touch-ups. I taped everything off with masking tape then careful used a razor blade to remove tape at the edges of the raised area (which is normally silver). This way, the chain does not contact the edge of the painted surface which would surely cause more chipping. I just used a rustoleum spray from the hardware store. I'm sure any paint will suffice. Be sure to thoroughly clean the surface first!

Very stealthy set-up all round, and well done with the cranks, they look great!

You have motivated to repaint my 2012 Militis2. I loved the bike but not the scheme.

Well I tried out a Giant SLR carbon stem for a couple days and that thing is U G L Y. I planned on stripping the graphics anyway but can't decide if it will matter. Really like the fit... not the weight.

And my Romin Pro should be arriving today! Yippee!!
