Sram CX1

I'm also interested in this but it appears there's little news to report.
On the flipside, this can easily be done already. Get a woolftooth chainring, a clutch RD and go.
I'm not sure what this can offer that other setups don't other than it willl be neatly packaged and cost more.

Well, 11 speed for one thing....
None of the clutch RDs (besides SRAM XX1) support 11-speed.

Is it just me, because I really don't see the point in this. SRAM already makes an 11 speed road cassette and a n/w ring can be had for $75, what makes it CX1, all that's new is the chainring from SRAM. The cx1 would only make sense to me unless they used a wider range cassette and carried of the parallelogram tech from XX1

The rear derailleur uses the x-horizon tech and roller clutch (type 2). Both greatly aid chain retention...I believe more so than the narrow-wide ring.
Using a narrow/wide ring for cross and a red derailleur I have dropped the chain.
Using a normal single speed ring and x0 type 2 rear mech I haven't had a chain drop.
Using doth narrow/wide and x0 type 2 rear mech also hasn't dropped a chain.
