Advice: Carbon Frame
Moderator: robbosmans
I'm looking for a Carbon Frame without killing my budget, but looking for quality.
The current nominations are:
Wilier Evasion
Wilier Laverado
Merida Genisi
Look 451
What experience do our WW's have with these frames, which is built best
Weave,
Tubing,
Strength & Durability,
Weight (of course)
Thanks in advance for your assistance

This is strictly my opinion, but I feel as if these european carbon bikes are overpriced, seeing as they are probably made in the same factory in Taiwan and the waaranties are scary. I would go ammerican only because the warranties are much better and over time the price will justify itself with this sort of piece of mind. Look up Bill Crumpton- he's got a nice frame going and I will be considering it once I sell off a few items.

Isn't the name Nicholas? Crumpton.

I agree many of the European frames are very expensive, however so are American Frames here.
Wilier are reasonably priced but we are not looking at their top level bikes.
I'm not woried about the sticker just the quality of the frame.
The Scott CR1 Pro ($9,000) as a complete bike is twice the price of a Giant TCR 1 ($4,300) top give you some idea of the price of the Scott package.
Cheers

3000E for the complete bike?
That's about $A5,000
I am considering the CR1 Pro.
Thanks

I can't say I have looked at many of those sites, if I hear any good reports on other frames I will use that list to check them out.
I'm leaning towards the Scott at the moment, but will wait till I've spoken to someone who owns/rides one.
When does the new Giant frame come on the market?
Cheers
