Imageshack is going subscription only ( was http://imageshack.us, now http://imageshack.com ). Images uploaded will still be accessible, but accounts will need to pay $1/month after an initial trial period.

Of course one could game the system by creating new accounts, but I think their service is the best out there for forums and blogs, and the new upload drag-and-drop is super-easy. I plan to sign on.

I recommend imgur.com, easy upload of pictures without the need of registration.

Darn those jokers at imageshack. The 'net is set to go partially dark as images left, right and center will fail to load. It's too bad that we'll lose sight of so many great old pics.

If imageshack hadn't decided to charge me $ to host pics, I never would have learned how much simpler imgur is to navigate. LOL.

Don't you get quite a nice quota for free on Picasa aswell?

I use a 3rd party app for uploads to Picasa from my Android phone (Picasa tool) and with the desktop app it's really easy to upload photos.

Imageshack.com new drag-and-drop interface is really easy. It immediately provides the URL for the raw image. Wrap it in [img][/img] and you're set.

Right click + "copy image address" usually works pretty smooth aswell.

I just use the public function on Dropbox. imgur is good for galeries/folders.
