I have Pinarello Dogma 2 frame (2012). I would like to change it for Canyon Aeroad cf 9.0.
I know Canyon is lighter then Dogma.

What about stiffness and handling?

Why would you want to do that? Canyons are good but Pinarellos are more rare and more disireable.

Rare and desirable? He's riding a bike, not collecting baseball cards.

The question should be answered from a performance perspective, not fashion.

I just bought a Pinarello instead of a Canyon, and yeah there are som pros and cons.. The canyon was way lighter, cheaper and had better groupset and wheels, but there is no LBS and the paint or lack of the same, didn't really do if for me, but maybe because i like a good paint job... But handling wise, it doesn't get any better than pinarello.. But if you are a real WW, canyon is the way to go :-)

You got a very valid point there! :)

Actually I wouldn´t be too concerned about stiffness though. Pinarello Dogma is known to be stiff and so is Canyon Aeroad. Do you like the look of the Canyon Aeroad? If you do, then go for it. Both are great!

I'm 2 meters and weight 100kg, no flex, so i will say max stiffness..

Keep the pinarello and buy the canyon. You will regret if you sell the dogma. The ride quality of the pinarello is like no other. Buy the canyon because you want a lighter bike.

After reading various reports,I suspect the aeroroad will be a bit flexy in your size.
Fine in smaller sizes, but seem to suffer the same problems as the Time vxr in the bigger ones (disconnected top tube feel)

Having had both Pina and canyon, The finish is definitely not as good on the canyon, but then again its 1/3 the price nearly. Cant have it all roads :-/

Keep the Pina...

edit: i just realised the size mentioned was in a reply, not yours

@jekyll man : I need size S. So if Nejmann is 2m high and he said stifness is not a problem it think my small frame will be stiff enough.

@ktg: Now i have Campa record 11s, Bora Ultra Two, Power2Max. Weight 7,4 kg. I have bought Mavic CU. With Mavic weight is still over 7 kg!

dogma 2 vs canyon aeroad

2 different types of bike!!! so you aren't comparing like for like

Dogma 2 is built for going consistent power over long distances
Canyon Aeroad is for fast short rides

Decide what is the style of riding you like the most and get a bike designed for that :D
