I have been on mavic and dura ace wheels but recently buying DT wheels. first I got the disk RR1300 C wheel and later the RR 66 DICUT C. Now I have the new 2013 RR 21 DICUT wheelset for 4 weeks now and wanted to share my opinion about these.
The hubs are the 240 quality we all know of in a 11 speed shimano body. The rim is not the lightest but benefits in stifness. It is stiffer than my wh7850 C24 alloy wheels from shimano. The front wheel is 640g excluded rimtape and QR. and the rear 810.
The new QR are ratlle free. The old ones did make some noise. Still I am using my dura ace qr because in competition they are faster.Image

Thanks for this. I am considering these wheels. Are you still happy with them?

Yes I am. The ratchet is still quiet. Much more quiet than the 240 or 350 hubs. I have raced it for a year now. I ordered the tools to service the hubs but there was no dirt inside even after riding in the winter. Only downpoint is that the whitevpaint is chipping a little bit. If you are looking for good rim tape for the rear offset rim, use tubeless rimtape from side to side. This worked best for me. The spokes aren't twisting unlike other aeroblade spokes.

Thanks. Not less tempted. I need something stiff, light, precisely braking, reliable and easily repatchable for alpine climbs and descends, and these have been measured to a widish 16.5c too by the people at Fairwheel Bikes. Nice and modern.
Paint chips off the spokes?

Yes the white paint is coming off the spoke because of transport I think not by it's own. I have seen it before on coloured spokes so not strange. The spoke themselves are a light silver colour so I do not notice it a lot. I think that a lighter rim than this one results in a less stiff wheel. For me this is as low I would go weightwise for serious riding.
