Possibly useful with some one-piece bar/stem setups where it would be hard or impossible to use some of the normal mounts? Seems a bit unnecessary in that photo though... Maybe UHC are sponsored by K-Edge?

but, along with his family, friends and girlfriend, team Sky riders and staff, and some Australian fans, I'll be one of the few cheering for Porte.
Quintana is definitely better over long climbs than Porte, Porte probably has a decent edge in the ITT though. What'll be interesting will be all the shorter punchier climbs where Porte may have a tiny edge. I reckon Porte holds the pink after the Barbaresco-Barolo ITT and then Quintana eats away in 30 second chunks throughout the last week to take it.
I hope I'm roadside for the TT drowning myself in some of my favourite vino!

Not many candidates this year, the only "big" Pro Conti left out are basically MTN,United HealthCare and Wanty, but have no idea if they even presented a request.

MTN would have been way more exciting than Bretagne, which will be about as interesting to watch as Sojasun. Basically a bunch of French "talent" that never went anywhere as riders and spend the entire race hanging out together at the back of the bunch. I get including home teams, but they're just a waste. I don't think they have won a stage since they were Agritubel. MTN at least has some talent and have riders that have won on the WT level.

Bit like Giant equipped teams, Bianchi also seem to produce very "pro" looking bikes
Also, really nice article from Nick which was a nice read. I'd be interested to know the route the guys at the very top go through to earn a spot on the pro teams. Presumably most come through some form of Youth development??? How do most make the jump from good amateur to pro? Fighting for a pro contract at 30+ must be super tough. All the best Nick!
