Would a C59 size 58t with a 120mm stem will be too big for an average build person with 181cm height?
I'm on a verge of buying my first Colnago. Curently I'm riding Trek 3.5 size 56cm with effective TT 56cm (c59 has 56.5cm TT but is different geo).
My friend told me that 58 in Colnago is and equivalent of size 56 on most frames (Canyon, Trek, Giant).
I ride a Colnago EPS in 54s, which translates to a Colnago 58 traditional. I've had multiple BMCs, Cervelos, Pinarellos, and Specialized bikes all with roughly 560 (+/-5) top tube lengths. I can make a Colnago 52s or 57 traditional fit as well depending on stem length and how aggressive of a position I want. It's the same principle behind my previously owned Pinarello Princes, which were a 55 and 56 frame size. I got to the same position with a different stem length. However, changing the stem length did change how the bike handled to some extent. My height is 182cm.
