Not to sound stupid, but isn't that far from optimal training since your muscles aren't activating the same as if you were properly bent over your handlebars?

seriously though, just installing some time trial arm pads flush to desk, and moving the trainer back about a foot, can solve that.

That doesn't tell me if it's a concern or not, just that it can be solved.
