Hi all,

Bought this frame a few months ago, initially to sell on, but then as its my size and I have time on my hands, I thought I would build it up as a change to the Parlee for this year.....

The frame is nicely finished, it seems like similar construction and carbon to a Cervelo R3SL fame I had, but the forks are especially nice, a bit on the heavy side (which is a shame) but they do feel very solid and I really like the way inside the steerer is threaded, so there is no expander bung, just a large diameter ‘bolt’ that screws into the forks and then the cap screws into this bolt.

I have yet to buy a few parts but here’s a starter to ‘whet your whistles’….

Full build list, some items TBC..….

Looks interesting! Lots of different brands, but you can't go wrong with the black/grey colors. Looking forward to seeing the final build.

If you told us the weights we would believe you. Why clog up your thread with pictures of parts on scales?

Yeah, i know what you mean Valbrona, I have never done it this way before, but have just seen that others do this. People like looking at the component pictures don't they?!?!!?

I also think its good to see the actual items 'close up' and weights on scales for others who are considering the same components. Especially if there are any manufacturer changes between years but the manufacturer calls them by the same name if you know what i mean?

You do realize its "weight weenies" right? Hence people like to see product weights validated against manufacturers claims.

Parts on scale shows the build means serious 'weenieism'. Can't 'weight' for the build ;).
yes, but how much does it weigh?

The Xelius has always been an eye-catcher for me. I'd love to ride one someday, but they're tough to find in the US. Please keep us posted on the build!!

Looking good. Get this built up soon. I have been waiting for a pimped out Xelius to show up here.

POP = "Parts Of Passion", not precision.

interesting old and new components, would love to see the complete build. I trade you my 9/10speed vuka chainrings to your 10/11spd rings since you will be using 10 speed.

Cheers for your comments guys....

Nismosr - Thanks but I am happy to keep these rings they shift nice. I have actually got a set of 10 speed rings also, on a 'failed' vuma - as soon as the levers brake it will be 11 speed (however the levers I am sure will out last the rings)!!

Stolichnaya - Yeah thanks - edited. Dont know where i got precision from?!

Lig.
