I'd probably go DT240 too, but I was never too comfortable with the idea because I've heard there are knock-off DT240s around - I don't know how to spot them.

Latex tubes will probably not be able to take the heat from extended braking.
You may be fine though... unless your area is pretty hilly?

Next season i will ride with latex tubes on my carbon wheels. I've read a lot about it and as long as you dont go into the mountains it shouldnt be a problem. The biggest 'hill' in the area is 100m above sealevel, i dont expect to be overheating my rims on those decents :)

As said by prendrefeu i wouldnt be taking those into the mountains, better safe then sorry.

In my experience with farsports and challenge latex tubes the carbon clincher rim will fail before the latex tube does.

The DT 240s from Farsports are legit. I have ordered two sets of wheels from them with these hubs and they are 100% authentic, star ratchet and all.

What is the general consensus regarding the EDHub w/ Ceramic BB? Looking to buy a pair of the 2014 model, hoping to find out if its worth the extra to get these lighter hubs?

People in this thread seem to be pretty satisfied with them...

I am in the same camp with ED CB hub. I ordered my second set a couple of days ago with the ED CB hub. I upgraded my first set to an 11 speed, while having them apart verified the Ceramic bearings.

You are in PDX and probably ride some of the same area that I do, you will enjoy them.

Nice, good to know. do you have the 38mm CC or the 50mm CC? and did you end up getting the U-shaped "aero" design?

I moved to the 23mm wide HED C2's and really like them better on the century and double century rides. Personally I think that fast downhills are a little smoother on the 23mm's on our chip seal.
