Paolo Bettini leaves his CT role at italian cycling federation and accept Alonso's offer to become team manager of his team.

Front I think is an Enve SES 8.9 and the rear is Simon Smart's prototype disc wheel

Yeah, I feel very sorry for Alonso indeed; a team ruined since its start.

What do Aussie pros do in the off-season? Try to kill each other on horrible TT courses:-

Who is that?

Also Stybar killing it in CX racing with quite a while away from racing it seriously. I find it interesting though that he is allowed to race CX yet Cavendish is a not allowed to race track.

Are you talking about eventual crashes?

I saw Kreuziger alpine skiing. THIS is dangerous. Forbidden to NBA players for example, part of their contract.

CX racing isn't actually that dangerous and when crashes happen they are at relatively low speeds into soft ground. You might get banged up but a resulting broken bike distant enough from the pits is far more likely to cause a DNF than an injury.

When in comparison the track is far more likely to cause an injury that will stop training. You might come away without a broken bone but severe enough burns from hitting the track at speed that you can't train.

Stybar is also paid much less than Cavendish.

It appears that Cav has been eating Sky riders over the holidays. Could that be why Wiggins is so quiet?

Every year people talk about Cav being fat.

Every year he wins lots of races.

Lots of talk of Cav being fat so he should win a lot of races?
Don't take me too seriously. The only person that doesn't hate Froome.

He will surely still win races, that's for sure, but he never appeared this round.
He reminds me Cartman.

Probably not the best comparison. NBA players and bicycle racers are two totally different breeds of athlete.

edit; and of course we just learn that "Formula One icon Michael Schumacher suffers 'relatively serious' head injury in skiing accident". Kind of goes against my point!
