His leg extension does look good in the pics you have provided KWalker...his shoulders appear to be a bit too rounded/rolled forward in the pic on the drops, his hands look like they're just resting nicely on the bars without tension...
I've never seen a perfect position but he looks pretty good here...

Looks like the Lotto-Belisol Training Camp is going well...

Great twitter feed.... and interview here : http://cyclingtips.com.au/2013/12/inter ... am-hansen/
Here we go...
(Regardless of the JTL case) Am I the only one feeling that UCI often only seems to start moving once the press is "knocking on their door"? In this case about the delay?

How does one actually defend themselves in a bio passport case? It would seem that the only way is to hire ridiculously expensive experts to somehow fully explain the anomalies, but I would imagine that that would be prohibitively expensive.
KWalker, not much different from defending a "regular" case in front of CAS though? You'll also potentially need to have things (supplements etc) tested for contamination, and so forth.

You don't need Bio Passport to know JTL has had strange peak of form and then a very very quiet season (as quiet as Team Sky tried)
No but its worth informing yourself that the period the biopass anomolies is from later on in his 2012 season when he was still racing for Endura and nothing to do with his time at Sky. His quiet 2013 season has nothing to do this.
There are questions over how much access Sky had to him at that point though.

Its far from that simple though because the passport traces values and responses over time so if you were arguing, for example: "I rebounded from a stage race and that's why my values spiked" that would be super complicated.
You'd need an interpreter who can put enough whats and ifs into the UCI panel's interpretation of the data. How many can do that?
Will be interesting to see which kind of defence JTL's people come up with.

Sure, just saying it might be just as "ridiculously expensive" to defend a non-passport (assumed innocent) case.
Happened to an athlete here, was traced back to a contaminated supplement. The supplement had been cleared for use before. He was still suspended. Managed to settle with the manufacturer though. A big mess, still.
