@Pete - agreed. They are clearly doing absolutely right by me. I'm confident it's as frustrating to Tom @ Parlee as it is to me and the folks at my LBS. I couldn't ask for more, and it's why I'll stick with Parlee.

@brompkins - weight "penalty" be damned. It's gonna be Kandy Apple Red. It's just too purty.

Word on the street (or, rather, at the LBS), is that Parlee *should* have shipped the new frame today. With any luck, that means that I'll get it next week and be back on the path.

While I've been waiting, Parlee has been absolutely wonderful. They sent me their magazine demo bike -- a Z5 SLi w/ DA 9070 and ENVE 3.4 clinchers.

BTW, I find it really ironic that this multi-thousand-dollar bike is running a 105 crank. It came from Parlee with a 53/39, and I live in the Bay Area, where I ride a compact. The 105 was all the LBS had lying around, so that's what I've got. It's actually working great, though it's a laugh to have it on a bike of this caliber.

Initially, I thought the 'lectroinic shifting was just gimmicky, like 7970, which I really didn't like. Now that I've been riding it for awhile, I've really come to like it. I still pull out the CAAD9 and truly do enjoy the mechanical 9000, but I've changed the frame order on the Z0 for electronic shifting.

All the parts are in-hand. All I need is a frame...

@saibot - it appears that your holiday wishes and mine will be granted.

I picked up the new frame from the shop last night. Measurements appear to be right. Pics to come (true to my promise, no pics of the whole thing until it's built).

This one should be lighter...

@thp - same paint job. Still ISP. Yet possibly lighter. The scale will tell the tale tonight.
