Anyone know of a 700c frameset that is both disc brake and belt-drive compatible? Ideally with rack and fender mounts. Also clearance for 32-25c rubber.

Any suggestions? I don't have the budget to go custom on this one.

Nice, but not what I had in mind. After doing some digging, I found the Spot Mod Disc SS. This might work.

Most of the Tout Terrain frames can take a belt drive. Some even have integrated racks if you plan to always have one attached.

Van Dessel also makes the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot that can be setup as pretty much anything.

I am having no luck with this project so far. The only framesets I've found that I can afford are not compatible with the Alfine di2. I may abandon this idea and stick to a conventional, chain driven commuter this winter.

Hi Ted,

Have you already looked into the *wait for it* Specialized AWOL?

It can take a belt drive, has fender mounts and is compatible with disc brakes and Alfine di2..

The only downside is that you will have to buy an entire bike and strip it completely.

Thanks. Yes. I actually emailed Specialized about the bike to ask if it was compatible with the belt/di2 Alfine and they never replied. For a number of reasons, including non-existent customer service, I will most likely stay away from Specialized.

Ultimately my wallet will make the final decision.

What's the specific issue with di2 compatibility on some of the frames?

If you found something that met your needs other than the belt drive, would you consider having a splitter retrofitted? It shouldn't be a costly or particularly difficult mod on most frames.

The di2 motor for alfine takes up a lot of space between the dropout and the hub. Many frames don't have enough room for a belt when using the electronic alfine system.
