ZIPP 2001 Dutch national squad

Just started a new project, my most extreme yet. It is a ZIPP (2001, right?) carbon team issue frame from the Dutch national squad.

It appears be in great condition. I didn't get the Zipp rear brake with the frame, but I suppose I can use something similar. The beam appears to be missing a bolt to fix it from the top, but again this shouldn't be to difficult to solve.

From your ebay account, I can say that you always have your hands on good conditions rare beautiful steel bikes but your projects are almost always involving out of the norm frames (wooden frame, aero Ti Litespeed, that weird TT bike from the 90s..)

2001 isn't the vintage, it's the model name (the 3001 was the update). Wiki says the last frames were produced in '97. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zipp_2001

@Nelus: I plan to build it up with a DA 7400 groupset and an ITM Dual aerobar. I haven't decided on the wheels, but I would prefer to go with Zipp wheels. The previous owner promised to get back to me on the history of the frame as soon as possible.

@Valbrona: It is definitely not UCI-legal.

@gravity: I love steel bikes, but I am absolutely fascinated by vintage aero bike frames and parts.

@prendrefeu: I will get to you on the weighs ASAP.

+1, perhaps with a painted to match orange Pro Stealth bar-stem combo and High profile Zipp wheels.

Put an 808 rear and 404 front on. Possibly use a TT crank. It would look very cool.

There's plenty of period 440's knocking around still; the hubs were a lot naff, but built on something else maybe

950 disc too, now that'd be nice

440's or 3000's would be great, with or without an early Zipp disc.

Aero road bike? Drop bars would be a complete fail
