lol...There was nothing uglier in the pro peloton than those early Giants, with the 3 sizes fit all mentality. At least the manufacturers, for the most part at least, have conceded that 3 sizes (S,M,L), did not really cut it. Still, the more horizontal tube just looks so much better. And of course a tube going straight through the air like an arrow is always going to be more aero than a tube going through the air at an angle. Perhaps someday we'll come full circle and people will stop trying to fit on frames two sizes too small for them as well. Not saying that they don't work for some, but I've seen some pretty ridiculous setups ridden by people who should not be on a smaller frame. Same scenario happened with the wide bar trend, where they supposedly opened up the chest for better breathing. Bollocks... now we're going back to bars that fit, except for the overshooters who now want "supernarrow" bars for more aeroness. It's funny to see trends come and go, then end up back to what made the most common sense all along.
