Bit the bullet and ordered an AR1/Red-22/Enve 6.7/Zipp cockpit build today. My first Felt and quite different coming from a Tarmac.
Question for Dave: you said 1021g, site says 1.9kg. Even if your number leaves out the fork, that's a big difference. Or is 1021g without fork, seatpost and BB?

Thanks.

That's sure to be a special build! Make sure you post some pics once you get it finished.

Thanks for your business. 1021g was frame weight only.

Hi Dave,
I am keen to get the AR1 frameset. I live in Bangkok Thailand, and as far as I know, there is no Felt importer / distributor in this country. Could you help me source one to Thailand possibly?

Sweet! Can I presume this isn't your bike Dave? Looks too small to be yours! Guessing that's the 52cm frame.

Absolutely I'll post photos. Might be January (I hope not!) but I'll post.

[Doh! answer was below the pic and I somehow missed it - oops]

Do you have a weight on that full build by chance?

SuperDave, is the FRD frameset compatible also with older 7970 Di2?

Just asked the same question in the last page:

"Stefano wrote:
Hey Super Dave, I was wondering- for the AR5 frame, is it upgradeable to electronic shifting? I know the AR1 is, but is the mold different for the AR5 vs the others in the lineup? I may be getting a really amazing deal on some 7970, so if I got it I'd like to put that on if possible.

The AR1 and AR5 use the same frame mold, thus they are both convertible to electronic and hydraulic shifting systems.

That weight of the AR1 puts it right about Scott Foil 15 HMF weight range. And at that price point, very respectable and competitive price retail. Nice looking ride. If the ride is not as rigid as the foil, yet is still rigid in respect to Ht and BB stiffness, this might be a future frameset for purchase.

Also, the addition of the vibrating damper on the seat mount, very attractive.

14.6 with those new Zipps? Must be tubulars?!?!

I know it's a magazine review which are notorious for never being negative, but it certainly sounds like the AR will have the edge in terms of comfort AND speed.
