If the bike is stolen or crashed, i'll get a new one through my team/my own insurance with help from our sponsor. So no problemo.

I rode the monster to a 6th. place today, in a Danish juniorrace. A bit disappointing, but my legs just weren't any better today. Maybe i'll find a picture of it in action :-)

Very much apropos - Today the tire came of the Vision rearwheel. And the wheel didn't make it.

A picture of the brake track that's pretty much done, and not to mention the top of the rim, which is now flat....

Pardon me, for being a stupid dane - who didn't get the joke in the first place - but now I think I understand it.

It's because the wheels are called "Vision", right?

So, here's a sneak peek on my winter rig.

Image

It's a Focus Mares AX aluminium frame with full carbon fork. It'll be build with Sram Red/Force (the old one though) and it will be used on the road rather than as a cross bike. I'll post pictures of the build as it proceeds.

So i've just aquired a pair of Zipp 404 Firecrest beyond black edt. I'll snap af picture of them on my De Rosa as soon as possible.

Concerning my Focus the only thing i need to start the build is a pair of either Sram Force or Red levers. I'll post updates when there's something to update about.

So, a little update on the Focus-build.

I just finished sanding my crankset. I'm really satisfied with the looks of it.

Before:

Got a great deal on it. About 50€, but it didn't look that great.

After:

What do you think?

I'll post complete buildlist for the Focus some time soon.

Preliminary buildlist for the Focus:

Frame: Focus Mares AX

Stem: FSA OS120 (yet to decide on wether i'll go for 120 mm -6* or 120 mm -17*)
Saddle: Specialized Romin Expert
Crank: Sram Force - sanded. With 50/34 chainrings from fulcrum
Rear der.: Sram Red
Front der.: Sram Force
Levers: Sram Rival

The cranks look great. I did the same myself but didn't use a very good clear coat so they look don't look as good. Which product did you use?

I used this: http://www.hornbach.de/shop/Klarlack-Sp ... tikel.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Very nice and very inexpensive. I gave the arms two layers of clear.

Are you sure this is a genuine Pronghorn frame?

I do not recall them having that carbon layup and frame tubes, decals look a bit odd too.

Anyhow a black crank set would look nice.

Hi, Chris

Yes, i'm sure, as i bought it from a guy who once worked at Pronghorn. But yes, it seems as if it is just a OEM frame with Pronghorn Decals, i agree to that.

And again, yes. A black crank would finish it off nicely, but as it is a bike that will only be used for 2-3 months per year, i'm not going to make that investment anytime soon.

So check out the new pictures of my Pronghorn! I think they're cool.

The Focus-build has suffered an unfortunate setback. I was completely finished, execpt from cables only to find that the the white plastic cable carrier in my Sram Rival lever is broken.

Do anyone know if this piece is replaceable? I have an old Sram Rival lever somewhere, where it's the paddle that is broken and thought i might be able to use the cable carrier from this, on my current lever.
