Hey Guys,

New to the forum, checked a bunch of back posts and didn't see what I needed so I figured that I would ask directly. I am looking at a discontinued TLD Carbon helmet on an Indonesian web site. The price is good and they say that they have all the sizes available. Can't find it here in the USA as it is a 2012 model and I like it better than the new ones. Has anyone worked with these Indonesian web shops and have good or bad to say about them?

Thanks,
Jim Schneider

Lots of fake websites selling helmets and other gear cheap.

You might try scam advisor to see if it's legit. http://www.scamadviser.com/

What TLD model is it?

It is the Blue Carbon D3 Two sites, Suzanasport.com and Betacycles.com Since they are both Indonesia based there is an automatic warning on them. Doesn't necessarily mean that they won't deliver, but raises questions.

Chain Reaction Cycles doesn't have the Blue Pinstripe that I am looking at. Their Black Pinstripe is just a bit expensive.

Thanks, I will keep looking.

Did you ever find the helmet? Both sites you listed are scam sites.

You might try calling/emailing Troy Lee to see if they can put you in touch with a dealer that has a blue pinstripe carbon helmet. I'm sure there is some dealer that still has one.

Haven't found one yet. I will email Troy Lee to see if they have an idea of who might have them in stock. Hard to get good deals on $450 helmets when Bell comes out with $650-700 MX helmets and they are selling! HA!HA!

Last time I was in Fullerton Bikes they had a bunch of D3 helmets and some where from past years. Might try calling them.
