KOGAN wrote:Ok so update is went to local bike shop...was shown some Easton EC90s in a 40cm, Reynold Carbon bars in a 42cm and we are gonna have a look at some Pro Vibe carbon monocoque bars as well.

any Alu suggestions that are light?

Also still looking for a bar that has a narrower bar top section?

Zipp I'm still not sure on..very expensive and 3T had reports of flexing.

thanks

Reynolds haven't made bars in about 5years, there pro round versions (not ouzo pro) were extremely light

If you can get a 3T Prima used or NOS those were under 200 grams in aluminum.

you can check out the weights here.

3T Prima comes in black painted aluminum and they do not have 31.8.

Check on ebay there is a NOS "3TTT Less 199" for 165$

so got round the problem of matching bars and stem with the help of a bit of nail varnish remover!

Gonna go for a set of these now as well, as like the shape, hear they are pretty stiff and light.

Oh c'mon, surely it is a little wrong, right up there with taping your bars all the way to the stem and mismatching socks :)

Reports of stem flex are often greatly exaggerated.
