Since it's nearly my birthday, I thought I'd order a few things to ensure they arrive in time.

Picked up a Wahoo Kickr, should be interesting to compare against the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine.

Spokes: Sapim CX-Ray...purchased the wheels from Wiggle at a great price to replace my old, tired training wheels...

Look great imo, does the black come off in time do you know, or are they anodised or similar?

Black spokes have been around long enough; generally they last as long as the rim....

The spokes that come in the prebuilt hopes tend to be a bit fragile. Not sure if it's a tension or poor quality spoke problem...

The Hope wheels I purchased weren't available from stock, so my thought is they were assembled upon my purchase/request as I had to wait a few weeks.

My understanding is that black spokes can be noisy due to the coating. They seem pretty good but I'll find out on my first ride today...

i personally wouldn't worry about black spokes being noisy, but what I wouldn't want is for the black to come off after a while.

The black CX-Rays are available either oxidised or (black) chromed apparently. Do you know which version you bought Wingnut?
