Nice Eurperg, loving the autumn colours. Great light this time of year but always slippy with the leaves about!

Not mine but well worth the read, I think a trip to Norway with the bike may be in order; http://cyclingtips.com.au/2013/10/roadtripping-norway/

Dalai, the next to last photo is just stunning. It just moves the eye in to the photo. Well done!

Nufenen Pass (Novena). It was a bad idea to ride up there just in shorts. Needless to say that the shower was a pleasure.

That Col de L'arpettaz is a gem! One of the best climbs I've done. Always wondered if it was doable to do the dirt road to the Aravis. Not a good idea basilic?

Thanks Guerdi!
Roselend - I'd always wondered about that road too. The road goes up and down, no problems on the uphills since you have time to pick your trajectory, but on the downhills you get rattled, and the steeper the road, the worse the surface. I had 26mm GB tires (actually 27mm), slashed a sidewall, a good 1.5 cm, and was lucky to have a lezyne boot to fix that. The whole length is 15 km.
I agree Arpettaz is great, secluded, very pretty, I try and go in the fall for the colors. I'd recommend it to people who live in flat lands and are intimidated by the monster climbs, this one is a steady 7-8%, very doable.

Quite a lot of snow there Guerdi!!

I managed to get a quick trip back to Pau in over the weekend:

The climb to Luz Ardiden - Autumn in the mountains is always special
Image

Looking back down on Luz St Sauveur - still a lot of evidence of the flooding from earlier in the summer

Went out yesterday morning with my old club - this is in the hills above Lourdes

A col is a col is a col - even if it is only 575m :)

Was up in northern MI (Antrim County) this weekend with the wife and I did a couple of rides. The terrain isn't as 'majestic' as what some of you guys post. But it was very pretty, especially with the fall colors. Fall colors are just amazing in northern MI this time of the year and the phone camera does a poor time picking up those colors.

This ride was around Torch Lake. Has a good mix of rollers and small climbs. Rollers probably average 3-6% and there are a few that get up to ~9%.
