Welcome to the forum indeed!
I like them both. the S5 is the better looking bike in my eyes as it is less 'loud'.
Funny, you are using two different pedal systems on the bikes.

Have you tried to recreate the speed wobble? because if it happened only once i'd say it is neglect able.

If everything is adjusted correctly (Wheels are true, tyres are seated correctly, headset and hub bearings are adjusted with no play or binding etc etc) it is probably you.
Death grip on the bars, locked elbows, tensed forearms, all can cause the speed wobble that you describe.
Easy ways to fix it are either to change how you are riding, or to rest your inner thigh/knee against the top tube, this changes the resonant frequency of the system.
Wider bars may, or may not fix it, or if you are causing it, might make it worse. Plus, the bars will be too wide for everything else.
BTW, the position one each bike *looks* different, far more forward/lower on the S5, that might have something to do with it. (More weight on your hands = potential for death grip/tensed muscles etc)
@ greenplay - what Trek do you have? I have just built a Madone 5.9 as a training/crit racing bike.
Would love to see your Trek. I'm so impressed with the 5.9 I'm thinking of getting a 7 series in a year or so
