Mads , Pro's have same frame and fork like you. So you can't blame the material when you ride bad.

Color of the handlebar tape - should I go for:
- black (bit boring but still classic),
- white (I would love white but probably needs to be replaced very often),
- silver (could be nice).

Let me hear what you think - thanks!

def. black! silver tapes aren't cork, white tapes look ugly after the first couple of rides and the black tape matches the STi and bar/stem combo perfectly. would go for too much of a contrast

Yeah - you're probably right! The black wouldn't mix up the colors too much! Any news about making me a pair of your fine brakes?

hi mads
looking at the bike i haven't got any tips for tuning, maybe some day wheels, but the rest is already very nice.
i would say try white bar tape, but not cork, i use plastic tape(what's that called exactly?)has a more shiny look, and can be cleaned very easily with sponge. if you ride with good gloves, you won't slip too much when holding on the bar.

Isn't that hard on the hands when riding? Do you have a close-up picture of your handlebars?

Thanks!

Thanks for the picture, Roamer! I ended up taking the black handlebar tape because I think it looks more classic the black tape. Maybe in the spring I will try and get some white tape which Simon talked about!

The bike is done - first real ride tomorrow so it's going to be exciting!!
