Paid a visit to the LBS yesterday.. I really shouldn't have ;-)

Got my hands on a slightly used 3T Ergosum LTD bars, a pair of really warm Lake MX303 shoes for the winter riding, an extra Assos T.607.4 insulated bibshort and an F1 Uno bibshort.

The insulated bibshort is great for colder spring and fall rides and hopefully the Lake shoes will keep my feet warm through all the extremely cold winter rides up here.

For £100 and mouldable, I figured they're worth a try for next year

Finally a proper rain jacket. Fits really nice and like the overall quality. Plus it was only $40

@Monkeyboy3333: I'd thought they were only paint scratches but upon closer inspection I've become more uncertain.. Hmm..

What is the coin test?

I have a feeling it is just paint in the clamping area that has shifted. I've had other bars where something similar has happened. Whether or not that is dangerous; I have no clue.

knock lightly with a coin, is the sound consistent across good/bad area if you know what I mean, if it's different in the 'problem area' it's likely trouble

Coin test works on tubes which produce some resonance and then you can hear differences in the tune indicating whether or not something is wrong. I don't think this will work with a front derailleur...

Just try to pull the blisters of, then you will see whether it is just the clearcoat or the derailleur was ruined anyway.

I think they mean the bars, which will also probably be tough to tap test because of how dependent the results will be on how you are restraining the bars.

My humble excuses, two post about delaminating carbon on one page got me confused.

My absolutely worthless opinion on the bars, does just look cosmetic doesn't it?
