About this time last year I started a build on a TCR. It went south after that. I lost my job doing security work in the middle of the paint stripping. I was able to sell off the bare carbon frame and barely broke even on the cost of taking the paint off. Two weeks after loosing my job I was offered to work as a mechanic at a local bike shop, and four months after that I was offered a job at another bike shop as a sales manager. A couple bikes later I ended up with a Propel Advanced SL with SRAM 22 build. It was absolutly flawless!
I was able to get about 500 miles on it before someone smashed a window at the shop and it was stolen!
I was never able to get a weight on it. This time I am going to do it the right way. Frame up build.
Frameset with Braze On and internal cable routing hardware. 1216g
Fork uncut 412g
Fork cut (full stack height) 394g
Stock expander plug. 46g (will replace with glue in when I have my fit dialed in)
Giant Propel Seatmast 160g
Giant/TRP Carbon brake assembly and hardware set 106g
Stem - Giant Contact SLR 90mm and hardware 154g
Wheelset
2014 Fulcrum Zero Dark Label Clincher 11s (1494g)
Front 624g
Rear 870g
Fulcrum Skewers 120g
Im going to run a garmin and I dont need the Giant RideSense Speed Cadence sensor. I pulled it out of the frame. 30g with hardware and magnets
So now Im up to a rolling frameset waiting for the new groupo and saddle to come in.

Nice looking bike! The weights on the aero mass-start frames seem to be generally similar to what they've been for years. This is still heavier than first-generation Cervelo SLC-SL, the difference largely due to the ISP.

one question: what do you mean that the expander plug will be replaced with glue once you dial your fit in?? is this common practice?
If you plan on cutting the steerer tube again, yes. If you already know your fit you can do the glue in style. The glue in style is is an aluminium skeleton. If you have to cut off 10mm of steerer tube you will cut into the plug. Once glued in it has to be punched out. It's kind of a sketchy process because of the carbon steerer.

Shocking luck to get to this point, but nice ending!
What is the total bike weight?

The glue in version is the lighter option over the standard expander. Atleast that was the case with my TCR.

The Giant Ride Sense is similar to Treks Duotap.
It is ANT+, so it syncs with your Garmin.
The idea of these integrated sensors by Giant and Trek is to build them into the frame so that you don't have to zip tie the ugly bulky Garmin sensor to your chain stay. Weight wise they will be similar.
There is absolutely no point in ditching this and then putting on a Garmin sensor that does exactly the same thing.

I am only going to be running a 510 with HR. No additional sensors. The 510/810 using the GLONASS is supposed to help with the speed issue. I remember on my 500 if I leaned to far over it would start dropping speed. I haven't noticed any issues with the 510.

So what is the final weight on that? I am also building up a 2014 Giant Propel with Red 22, using Easton Aero 55 tubs, frame won't arrive until April so I am curios on the final build weight.

I dropped 55g by cutting off the excess steerer tube and installing the glue-in Aircap expander on my TCR.
