Hey

So, I want to get a complete set of tools in order to service or replace the BB on my Evo.

I have the SiSL2 cranks and BB set installed.

So, what would I need to extract, and re-install the cranks and BB, tool wise?

I was thinking-

-Extracter
-something to get the bearings and cups out
-something to get them back in straight!

Any ideas, knowledge, or suggestions for what I need to buy, and what I should look out for?

Thanks in advance.

I use a Park Bearing Press (HHP-3) and BBT-30.3 removal tool.

Yes, I used them on my EVO's bearings. I haven't removed the cups yet, there's another tool for that - but I can't recall the part number.

Thanks, will check it all out. Any issue getting the bb in straight, or did it go in ok?

My cups were reamed by the shop when doing the initial build. I just removed the bearings and reinstalled them, it was simple and painless.

Reamed? The Evo has a carbon BB shell. What BB did you install?

The BB shell is carbon, but the pre-installed PF30 cups are aluminum. I don't know what tool they, but Park sells one.

I'm using Hawk Racing bearings.

Ah, so you bought the Evo as a frame, which had empty PF30 cups in it?

I got the frame through their frame upgrade program. I traded in a CAAD9.

Yes, it came with empty cups pre-installed.

OK. Mine has the sisl2 bb installed. I doubt the bearings will come out without the cups, so I will be pressing the cups in myself. What cranks are you using?

Unless Cannondale has made a change, the PF30 bottom bracket cups have typically been made from Delrin (SRAM) where as the alloy bearing cups were usually spec'd for when installing an SRM Hollowgram powermeter.

Here is my 2013 EVO's BB, post reaming, with the cups Cannondale supplied.
