I'm looking to buy a lightweight seatpost clamp to fit on a titanium bike with titanium seatpost. I'd like to have one in a color that matches, like silver aluminium or titanium color.

All the lightest seatpost clamps that I know of (extralite, kcnc, parts of passion, new ultimate) are anodized in most colors except silver. The ones I can find in the color I want are 2-3 times heavier.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

What size do you need? The carbon-ti is available in silver from r2-bike

I need a 31.8mm.

Thanks for the suggestions, so far the extralite from the same vendor wins, as it is brushed like my frame instead of polished.

Still open to suggestions

Edit: 35 euros shipping to canada :unbelievable: Anyone selling extralite in the US? I checked Fairwheel but they don't have silver...

Try one of these:

some variants are as light as 8g.....for $15, there isn't much risk :)
Updated: Racing again! Thought this was unlikely! Eventually, I may even have a decent race!
Edit: 2015: darn near won the best South Island series (got second in age
-group)..woo hoo Racy Theremery is back!!

Thanks, but as I said in my last post Fairwheel doesn't have the ones in silver. I really like the extralite, but even extralite themselves in Italy don't have them in 31.8mm.

The ones on Ebay are not the good color, or take a month to ship.

I just bought an Aerozine (9g) for 26$. Should receive it soon, I'll post here what it looks like. Couldn't find much info on those on the web.

Sand and polish?

I tought about it, but I'm a bit afraid to remove material from such a small (6-8g) part. I think I'll keep an eye in case someone stocks the ultralite in silver. Or I might actually like the aerozine one I bought.

Or just buy the aluminum seat clamp you want, then chemically de-anodize and polish.

Didn't even know that was possible! I'll keep it in mind, thanks!

I was apprehensive about using Zep oven cleaner to take off anodizing, then I used it on an old
hub and boom! -back to natural Aluminum.
