Hey Weenies,
I am starting a project with a Wilier 101XN 2014 MTB.
I need a good fork, lightweight top model from either FOX or Rock Shox... I'd like to have a Remote lockout on the bar, what are your suggestions?
money dont have a say in this project. But I dont want a lefty

Agree with rmerka. It's factory tuned so set the air pressure and forget about it.
I have an older XX with the same hydraulic lock and preset damping and it is my favorite fork of the 4 that I own (2 Fox Float 32's with FIT and a SID RCT3 are my others to compare). Mine has the dual air, so not exactly the same, but a data point on RockShox XX nonetheless. Also, the RockShox SID XX World Cup fork can be made into 80mm as can most all 100mm 29er forks. Another data point: the Fox's can be locked out more firmly than the RockShox shocks and this annoys some people. The Fox's generally have better small bump compliance but because of that are a little less efficient if you know what I mean.
For certain parts stiffer is more important than lighter.
Go for the fox, it needs a little more love and service more offen than the rock shox. It is a tad lighter, but works soooooo much better! I have the float 32 ctd with kashima and 15mm axle. The weight was at 1440 gram with full steer tube or something like that, cant remember the exact weight but i can find it.. The best upgrade for my bike was that fork over the rock shox sid WC brain that it replaced. I still use the sid on my training bike, it works well and is a nice fork. But in my world it isn`t nearly as good as the fox. Even when i got it tuned with some other oil fox dust wipers and so on... I am a fox man
I ride for fun
how about this?

I have it for almost five years and it's light, stiff and thanks to the wheel trajectory super comfortable

That is a 26 er fork.

Their website only shows 26 and 20".

I think he's means this one. Doesn't look like it has a remote lockout, but it is an interesting design.

This would be the same Fox which needs an oil change every 30 hours? Fox have an appalling reputation for stanchion wear, too.
Why only Fox/RS, anyway? If light weight is the thing, why not DT?
