Saw a post recently on a facebook group I'm a part of showing a 2007 CR1 BB shell shreaded to pieces, the guy said it has been repaired a number of times.
Is this a common issue? I am now worrying about my 2009 CR1, fitted with Campagnolo Ultra Torque.
Older Scott CR1 BB Shell issues?

Not common, no. I've seen one. About 5 years ago.
It was (massively) overtightened, and fitted dry.
The threaded insert came adrift and was damaged (as well as the frame itself) when the bottom bracket was removed. After a couple of years of all weather use. (very very corroded)
Probably around the same age as the one above, 2006/2007, maybe earlier.

Okay well I will watch out for corrosion. It's kept indoors so tends to dry off well.
