Castelli sizing (shorts)
Moderator: robbosmans
So I'm looking at a pair of new shorts and have found a good deal on Castelli Velocissimo. I have an issue with sizing however. According to their size guide, the 'Small' size is huge around the waist, yet the 3XL is too short in the leg...
My measurements:
Waist: 76cm
Inseam: 88cm
Any recommendations as to size?
It upsets me a lot how cycle clothing manufacturers refuse to produce clothing for real cyclists.

The issue is the size chart starts massive! The Small is 80cm waist! So going solely on that I'm screwed for race fit.
I guess a lot of it is down to thigh size - as two people with my waist size use very different sizes (Small to Large). My thighs are approximately 50cm (measured over my trousers at my office desk with a tape measure haha)

That is very logical, hadn't thought of it that way, thanks!

Why are the best things in life always the ones you start last?
Older Castelli stuff fit pretty much like everything else (except gloves, which ran way too big)
Newer stuff runs small (and gloves still run big)
It seems like some of the lesser expensive shorts run a little bigger than upper end, but that may be due to compression fabs and what not.
