A bit much if that's true. Though not sure if there s a hint of sour grape when he said Sky staff dont know much about bike racing... They seem to be doing just fine winning TDF back to back. Could do more in Classics and sprint though.

'Could do more'....? How about 'are absolutely helpless'? London Olympics was one of the bigger tactical fails I've seen too.

Indeed, it appears Sky just win because of W/kg not because of good tactics/racing.
Even in this year's Tour they at least were twice on the back foot.

And Boasson Hagen seems like he is the new Farrar! :) (So naturally he'll win the Worlds, to make me look stupid)

Regarding the Vuelta, I think yesterday's stage was better than any of the mountain top finishes.
The Vuelta is very good to watch!

Race tactics of Saxo are great to watch, the x-wind stage in the Tour and Roche's mountain attack and the x-wind stage in the Vuelta.

It doesn't work out all the time, they tried a few moves in the mountains during the Tour that didn't work, but it makes for great racing.

Little known fact: It was Sean Yates, as a member of the Peugeot squad no less, who intervened and convinced Lemond not to quit the '86 Tour, and got his wife Kathy to stop sniping at Bernard and Marine Hinault on Good Morning America (U.S. TV show), after Hinault double-crossed him.

Ha, ha, no, the closest Kathy Lemond came to doing anything like that was to have her brother accidentally shoot Greg the following March.

All Sky care is about putting man on Tdf podium as if to show some point.
Look at their embarrassingly weak Vuelta.
Frome should ride another team.

Why should he? It might so happen, that his personal goals align with Sky's.

Good job by our local hero, Adam Hansen! Although I feel bad that they didn't even show him up the final climb; all of the coverage was on the GC contenders.

zakeen holds on for 3rd on the day.

Meanwhile, Horner came just a few spoonfuls of Geritol short of taking the red jersey today. And ah 1, and ah 2, and ah 3 seconds, is all.*

* Only Americans of a certain age (Masters 50++) might get this

Horner is going to make me eat my words. WOW.
I never took drugs to improve my performance at any time. I will be willing to stick my finger into a polygraph test if anyone with big media pull wants to take issue. If you buy a signed poster now it will not be tarnished later. --Graeme Obree

What were the Vegas odds on Horner winning or making it to the podium before the Vuelta started?
