Awesome work! I really like those years of Cannondale. Very classic looking and still very capable bikes. I need to clean up my CAAD8 raw finish and post it up!

the ritchey classic stem (I used the same classic stem and seat post for a build) is surprisingly light. I think my 100mm stem was a little under 110g.

unfortunately the classic seatpost and handlebars are heavy (for weight weenie standards).

I did end up cutting 100mm off my ritchey classic 27.2 seatpost (because they do come in a very long 350mm length) to save about 60g

but I'm so happy that ritchey did come out with the classic polished silver options - the stuff looks awesome and can breathe life into older steel/alu frames that once had silver seatposts and/or silver quill stems.

@ Trychle: I don't know the effect of salt on the polished aluminium. For now I will protect it with some good automotive wax. But time will tell how long this shine will last

@ PSM: If they polished aluminium gets dull really fast, I'm thinking of adding a clear coat. But I did some research and it looks that it is hard to clear coat polished aluminium. The coat doesn't stick so well to the smooth surface. And the shine will also be a bit less with a clear coat.

@ RunningDoc: The stem is indeed light. But weight wasn't important for this build. I also need to shorten my seatpost. The handlebars aren't the polished handlebars that Ritchey is offering. I had a old Ritchey WCS handlebar with a shallow drop (more classic looking and different from the one that Ritchey is offering) that I wasn't using. This handlebar is quite a bit lighter. I removed the black anodizing and polished it.

The build list for this bike. Weight wasn't an important issue on this bike. But looks and budget were. So it isn't a really exciting build list with exotic parts:

Frame: Cannondale Six13 Team (polished with custom stickers and internal routing for SRM)
Fork: Cannondale Slice
Headset: Cannondale SI
Bottlecage: Tacx Tao

Stem: Ritchey Classic (120mm)
Handlebar: Ritchey WCS Shallow drop (polished)
Handlebar tape: Pro
Seatpost: Ritchey Classic 2-bolt
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR (with removed padding and recovered with leather)

Brakes: Campagnolo Chorus
Shifters: Campagnolo Veloce 10 sp
Front derailleur: Campagnolo Centaur 10sp
Rear derailleur: Campagnolo Centaur 10sp
Chain: Campagnolo Centaur 10sp
Cables: Campagnolo
Crankset: SRM Pro
Bottom Bracket: Shimano Dura-ace octalink
Pedals: Look Keo carbon

Wheels: Enve 1.68 Clincher
Tires: Continental Grand Prix 4000S

Most of the steel bolts are replaced with titanium bolts, because I hate rusty bolts.
The wheels that are pictured won't be used in bad weather. I will use a Campagnolo Zonda 2005 (NOS) with 25mm Continental tires

@SWijland: I didn't know that gallery, so I had to google it. Nice to see that more people like my ride. Somebody in that thread is mentioning that the wheels are Chinese, but they are real ENVE's with some custom stickers.
