Wheels for sure. Those miche hoops weigh about 2kg, you should be to loose 500g easily while still having a fairly robust set of wheels.
It' been a while, but we're getting there.. slowly
Changed to arione cx carbon saddle and bought my first tubular wheelset as I plan to do some races this summer.
Next up is a lighter seatpost, which is on it's way and this summer I'll probably switch to Sram force or red.
Can't wait for the snow to melt as I'm getting tired of my rollers

Hi I am new to the forum and am building up a 2008 Cayo after buying a frame.
Nice build you have there roderik
I am really struggling finding a suitable seatpost clamp/collar that fits to the frame.
I need one of about 18mm in height.
Has anyone got any ideas for me of one that would fit well?
Thanks

Upgraded the focus one last time, switched to campa record 10 speed/dura ace mixed group:
But after a long search, I finally found mij dreambike for a reasonable price:
Came with time stem, deda zero 100 bars and selle Italia slr xp saddle.
Plan is to complete the campa groupset on the VXRs and sell the focus...

Reason I allways wanted this bike was this picture of Boonen's version in 2005:
I allready had the record 10spd. shifters, front and rear der. but still needed all the rest.
After some searching I found exactly the same crank and bracket. I know it isn't the lightest, but I just had to have this one.
Bracket was +- 180g and crank +-650g
Also bought chorus cassette and record 10spd chain, so now it's looking like this as I'm waiting for the brakes and bartape:

Nice.
I'm considering re-building my Time. I've been loathe to sell it, so it's sat in a box in my son's bedroom for the last 4 years.

all Time frames are worth re-building!
Exams over, got myself a pair of fulcrum racing zero's for training wheels.
Set out for 2nd training on the new bike, really impressed by the ride of bike and wheels.
But when I was about 2km from arriving back home this happened:
Driver forgot to check his mirrors, just turned in his street and bam, there I went. A lot of bumps and bruises but nothing broken.
Wheels, rear der. , rear brakes, sadlle, shoes clothes all gone, hope I can save the frame...
