I think I'm done with changes:
1. More comfortable but heavier (163 grams) Prologo Scratch Nack saddle
2. Deda Superleggera 110mm stem (108 grams)
3. Rebuilt Speedplay pedals with Wade titanium spindles (162 grams)
4. Re-laced wheels (radial > 2x in front; 2x > 2x/3x in rear)
5. New Ultimate seatpost collar (7 grams)
6. Bontrager Race XXXL cages repainted (31 grams the pair)

All this nets to a very small overall weight reduction, but I'm pretty much weight-weenied out for a while...

Very nice setup. Good solid reliable parts. I got weight weenied out as well when I had issues with crank alignment and lightweight stems that didn't hold the bar properly. I was happy to gain a few grams for the sake of reliability.

Updated my Parlee just a bit...ditched all the blue accents and the dark black felt bar tape...switched to gumwalls....guess I'm not done with this after all...although the weight is creeping up just a bit...

For some reason I've never been a fan of gum wall tires but this pulls it off great! Nice job!

A few updates to the Parlee, functional and bling...a little extra weight added (net increase 10 grams)...and it is more or less finished for the time being...although I may get the saddle recovered in plain black leather to match the new bar tape:
1. Dura Ace 9070 update to 11 speed (bye-bye to Praxis)
2. Adarga leather bar tape (made by Global Supply)
3. Extralite top cap in silver (have to do somethings to complement the 9000 crankarms)
4. Velo Orange bar plugs in silver (ditto)
5. AICAN Bungarus Brake Cables in black
6. Barfly 2.0 (primarily for mounting the 9070 junction box off the stem)
7. Veloflex Corsa 25s (bye-bye to gumwall Master 23s)
8. Mcfk seatpost collar (a truly needless extravagance)

I think it looked nicer with the Veloflex masters.

^^ Can't help but agree - too 'stealth' now, and 'stealth' has been done to death!

@carlislegeorge

can you please comment on that Adarga leather tape?
I think it looks very, very nice and I am thinking of getting it for my Z5SL. I would like to know what do you think about comfort, durability and how hard is to install it and keep it clean.

thanks

Pifft!! Looks awesome I don't like the velo orange bar plugs.. So much ww gear then those boat anchors and the mcfk seat clamp is so nice that all parlees should come with em as standard! I would describe it as a must have item

Everyone...thanks for your comments

I've never had this kind of nice (and waterproof) leather tape, there's a noticeable tactile difference in addition to looking awesome. My preference is for minimal padding as well. It went on easy, and stays put so far. Haven’t had it long enough to comment on durability, but someone who recovers saddles with leather told me this kind of treated leather tape can last for years.

Have to agree on the seatpost clamp, it is a super nice item. I wanted some to add a little class in the bar cap area, silver “permanent” bar end caps and the Velo Orange were readily available even though they do indeed weigh over 20 grams the pair. I may try the Purely Custom type but they are not light either. This one was never going to make super weight weenie territory anyhow.

I thought they looked great too, up until the time the rear failed on me at the seam…and to be honest, I thought the gumwalls might clash with the unavoidably silver DA 9000 cranks.

I’m thinking about a few more silver accents around the headset, but can live with this for now.
